Abstract The aim of this study is to fabricate an ampholyte thermo-responsive terpolymers and explore the influence on phase separation temperatures in different pH solutions. fabrication was achieved by terpolymerization N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm), DIVA (5, 10, 15 mol.%), acrylic acid (AA) 10 mol.%. preparation cationic monomer from vanillin a facile reaction named 2-((diisopropylamino) methyl)-4-formyl-6-methoxyphenyl acrylate (DIVA). chemical structures monomers were evaluated successfully 1 H, 13 C NMR, FTIR. average molecular weight dispersity characterized using gel permeation chromatography (GPC); glass transition temperature, crystallinity, morphology DSC, XRD, SEM, respectively. hydrophilic/hydrophobic properties fabricated terpolymers, at conditions, contact angle measurements. lower critical solution temperature (LCST) for all samples measured UV–vis spectrophotometer.
